Being commissioned and committed to supporting ex-offenders and meeting their needs wherever possible, CIM began to strategize options for assistance in this area.  There were many good ideas, but the one that seemed to fit the women’s abilities best was an Internet business.  In 2005, thanks to the great generosity of a donor providing six month’s rent, a resale furniture shop opened that May.  It grew and provided a support system and job opportunities to over 50 previously incarcerated men and women who had been unable to find employment, with approximately two-thirds of them going on to other full time employment.
