CIM Opens Four Homes for Women with a 68 Percent Success Rate

In 1998, CIM opened the first of four transitional homes for female ex-offenders that would be refuges for many homeless women, from 1998 to 2006.  The homes welcomed and served a steady stream of women ranging from ages 18 to 64. For the first five years, the women came from county jails, drug detox programs, and the streets.  Then suddenly in 2003, applicants started coming from the state prisons, including Marysville and Franklin Pre-Release Correctional Facilities.
